14 YEARS & STILL GROWING…
After years of friendship, I moved in and took over my then boyfriend’s one acre property. Together we turned it into the homestead of our dreams. A year later we married and The Homestead Wife published it’s first article. We were bless with two beautiful daughters in the coming years and several generations of ducks, chickens, cats and dogs. During March of 2020 we broke ground building a second home on our property. We also remodeled our original home. We turned them both into rentals and left California for Utah in March of 2022. On New Years Eve of December 2022, we welcomed a baby boy. We have been working tirelessly to reestablish our homestead as we restore a 7 bedroom Victorian estate.
We are looking to the future and hoping our homestead can supply our family with fresh produce. It’s our hope to eventually offer hands on homesteading opportunities through classes and workshops. We feel truly blessed to live this lifestyle and would love to share our journey with you.
